How they are taught needs to be periodically revised to register changes, shifts and developments. Incomplete verbs should be considered as a separate category of the irregular verbs. The existing shifts and irregularities should be presented not as the specific feature of a set of verbs but in a broader typical expression. Such a method gives a better chance of scientifically and systematically describing and successfully teaching the irregularities.
