The greatest developer of riddles in the Armenian literature was Nerces Shnorhali, the 12th century poet, in whose steps and imitation Armenian poets of the following centuries wrote new riddles. One of the followers of N. Shnorhali was 13-14th century author and head master of Glatzor-Hermon monastery-school Tiratour Vardabet, whose riddles are brought into light by the author of the article and are published for the first time.
