The author through Apovian’s Verk Hayastany (<<Armenia’s Wounds>> -- a novel) presents him as a poet, historian, orator, and messenger. Then by studying the structure, the language, and the realism in K. Sountougian’s plays, Sountougian is presented as the first and only east Armenian playwright.
