His caricatures deal with international (World War II, peace, Arab-Israeli conflict) and domestic political and national issues, as well as social problems. Diran has contributed to French, Arabic and Armenian newspapers in Lebanon and abroad. The author has divided his article into five parts, which reflect the major aspects of Diran's life. They include his biography, acting career, caricature work, and views about art. In the last part of the essay, the author is publishing a number of letters addressed to Diran and written by the Egyptian-Armenian renowned caricaturist, Alexander Saroukhan.
