As an intellectual and man of letter, Voskan worked and published both in Paris and Izmir, and died forlorn in the latter city; yet his biography presents certain unexplained "blank pages", especially those of 1846-1852. Besides these nonclarified spans of time, there are also the unanswered questions of the publication of the La Réforme french daily of Izmir, the manuscripts he left unpublished, his growing grudge and hatred towards the Armenian society and his voluntary retreat from it, and the problem of the cessation of the publication of the Arevelk. The article tackles with some of these questions and tries to answer to certain questions raised in the history of the Armenian press, and formulates a reply to questions which were asked decade after decade by those who dealt with Voskan's case. Making use of first-hand sources, and especially the published and yet never dispatched last issue of Arevelk, the author of the article proves once and for all that all through the decades past, those who studied and examined the case, just repeated each other without ever taking the pains to carry a thorough research to find the existing facts. In fact, the author finds that there are instead of fourteen fifteen numbers published. Mr. Tanielian does thoroughly examine the causes which impeded the distribution of the last issue of this periodicle, and finds the reasons thereof, the major of which is the adversity brewing between Stephan Voskan on one side and some Armenian community groups on the other. Moreover he makes things clear by analyzing the content of this last issue of Arevelk and concludes that whatever the proofs to insist that there are just fourteen numbers, «there is the tangible proof - there exists the fifteenth number».Ստեփան Ոսկանի Արեւելք հանդէսի առեղծուածը
