Indeed, some architectural monuments of the Sunik school elevated medieval Armenian Church architecture to new levels. Since the early 1990s Armenian Church architecture has experienced a revival, and a renaissance, as the building of churches and religious monuments were forbidden during the Soviet era. However, after 1991 modern Armenian architects and master builders revived the best traditions of medieval Armenian Church architecture and applied new technologies, solutions and ideas in designing and constructing new churches. The paper is the second in a series that focuses on the new religious constructs that were built after the proclamation of the Republic of Armenia in 1991. It highlights the newly built churches and chapels of the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, namely Surp Terdat Church in Vayk, Surp Anna Church in Malishka, Surp Mariam Church in Aghavnadzor, Surp Mariam Astvatsatsin Church in Martiros, Surp Yeghishe Chapel in Gendevaz, Surp Sargis Church in Yelpin, Surp Gayane Chapel in Kechut, Surp Gayne Church in Jermuk, and Surp Mariam Astvatsatsin Church in Rind. The paper describes the architectural forms of the above-mentioned churches and chapels, the history of their construction and other relevant issues.Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան Վայոց Ձորի մարզի նորակառոյց եկեղեցիները (2000-21)
