These people had arrived in Argentina before the outbreak of the First World War. Next the article moves on to Father Hantouche, a member of the Armenian Catholic congregation of Bzommar, who arrived in Buenos Aires in 1922 and stayed there for a year. The article then details the activities of the Armenian Catholic priest, Hovhannes (Jean-Baptiste) Kazezian, who arrived in Argentina in 1924. He played a leading role in the coming years in organizing the Armenian Catholics in the country and was involved in a number of ultimately abortive attempts to set up a single Armenian authority to represent all Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical Armenians in Argentina. Kazezian was also instrumental in inaugurating in 1929 La Revista Armenia, the official Spanish language publication of the Armenian Catholic community in Argentina.
