A larger entity, the country, is highlighted in this article. Zarian did not acknowledge the existence of borders and boundaries within states; in fact, he did not recognize any boundaries in the real world as well as in the universe. However, he noted that the ethnographic and geographic entities registered in his diaries display unique features which are specific to the given country and display the spirit and mentality which enable the ethnic group or the nation to continue as such. This driving force enabling the survival of the group might be tradition, culture, language, religion or their combination, all of which Zarian depicts while writing about a country. Zarian believed that, as a heavenly gift, these features impacted the individual's self-perception, national identity. imagination and psychological state. Zarian thought that every country had a core secret which was difficult or impossible to understand. However, we need to communicate with that secret. For Zarian the core secret of Armenia was a mode of existence and a principle. It was his biography and the documented narration of a creative life, a means to disclose his own identity which he analyzed through the triangular framework of country (body), nation (spirit), and ideology (intellect). Furthermore, Zarian dissected each of these three elements into their sub- ingredients and went further in uncovering their inner aspects. In this article Petrossian concentrates on Zarian's unfinished mythic creation, on the yet-to-be-disclosed identity and spirit of the Armenian and his historico-philosophical framework. The author delves into tracking the relentless attempts of Zarian in tackling the enigma of Armenia.Animation
