It is only 150 years later that his life and works were submitted to systematic Inquiry, first in Armenia (1920) then in the Diaspora: Near East, Europe, America, etc... The author traces this slow recognition and ascent in favor and success of the works of Sayat Nova among Western Armenian audiences. He establishes the chronology of the early papers, studies and publications concerning this great poet and produced by the intellectuals of the Diaspora.
