The Armenians living in a foreign milieu were not always able to stand strong and resist the diverse demands of public and family life like exogamy, changes of first names, and compromises in the mother tongue and national traditions as well as in everyday life. The paper highlights how acculturation expressed itself among the first and second generation Fresno Armenians in the 1930s, when Fresno became a socio-economic and spiritual-cultural center for Armenian migrants in the USA.Animation
