The conference was organized by the HU-based Armenian Diaspora Research Center and was held at Haigazian University on May 15-17, 2013. The book includes the program of the conference, the papers presented, and biographies of the contributors, few photos, and a comprehensive press release, as well as a brief outline of the mission, purpose and activities of the Center and its inauguration in January 2012. The 16 papers presented during the conference touch upon issues of archiving, and heritage; matters religious, ministerial, educational, philanthropic, political, and social; youth and culture; news disseminating and fund-raising; as well as matters pertaining to the Armenian Cause and Armenian Studies. Furthermore, the papers highlight the actors who promoted these issues, namely individuals, philanthropists, circles, offices, groupings, unions, organization, parties, institutions, scientific centers, the church, media networks, the Ministry of Diaspora and others. Alongside these papers the opening speeches of the conference are also presented and a summary of each paper is given in English. The book is the first in a series dedicated to Armenian Diaspora issues.
