Abstract
Since the proclamation of its independence, the Republic of Armenian has embarked on a reform of its higher education sphere, aiming at integrating the sphere into the European higher education system. This study highlights the stages of this reform process, the application of its details and its implications. The article details the endorsement by Armenia of the Bologna educational process, which eventually led to the transformation of the higher education system in the republic to a system congruent with the norms and system of its European counterpart and eventually its integration into the European Higher Education Space.
The article assesses this continuous process and the advantages it has brought both to the sphere of higher education in the republic and to its graduates.
