| dc.description.abstract | In spite of some confessional differences, the consciousness of belonging to the same nation and religion the Armenian nation and Christianity Christianity has always predominated among Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical Armenians. This fact has been a serious reason for close cooperation between Armenian Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical churches in various spheres, due to the commonality of problems as well. The article aims to show through the example of the small district of Kesab the interconfessional cooperation in the Armenian reality during the most complicated period of the Armenian Genocide. The historical facts of the time include the massacres in Cilicia in 1909, World War I (1914-1918) and the following years. The author outlines the cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic, Catholic and Evangelical churches of the time in three areas: a) prevention of disaster, b) struggle to minimize the harm during disaster and c) recovery efforts. | |
