Abstract
By the term “dialectical logic” today we understand the study of the dialectical development of the modes of thought and means of knowledge. The problem of the ontological and epistemological significance of the universals lies at the center of Davit’s philosophical venture. He follows the Aristotelian-Plutonian model partially discarding the Platonic tradition. Davit analyses at great length the dialectical relationship between the universals and the particulars, the accidental and essential qualities. In other words, he tries to explain the role of the categories in acquiring universal and certain knowledge. Many of his conclusions remain valid even for present day advanced logic.
