| dc.description.abstract | This paper offers a new approach for addressing the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic and the following 44-day-long Artsakh war in the Republic of Armenia. First, the author briefly outlines the economic impact of the pandemic on the Republic of Armenia and then dwells on the destruction, loss and damage the 44-day-long war cost the republics of both Artsakh and Armenia. The author assesses the benefits of rivalry versus cooperation and concludes that the Republic of Armenia can benefit from better cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union as it offers huge advantages to the tiny republic. The author proves his conviction by providing evidence from the yields the republic had from this cooperation in 2019. Furthermore, the paper argues that such cooperation is the natural path for Armenian economic growth due to the fact that the country's major economic partner is the Russian Federation in terms of foreign investment, foreign tourism, and exports and imports. | |
