Օձուն. թեմի կազմաւորումը եւ վանքապատկան գիւղերի տեղավայրերը (XVIII դարի վերջին քառորդ-ԻԱ. դարասկիզբ)

Abstract
The report relates to the history of the (re)creation and activities of the Odzun diocese in the last quarter of the 18th century. It also explores certain prior, as well as subsequent, occurrences and circumstances and other directly related issues. The Odzun diocese was (re)created, with an appointed supervising bishop, upon the order of Lucas I Karnetsi, Catholicos of all Armenians (1780-1799), and authorized by the encyclical of January 21, 1782 of king Irakli of Georgia. The encyclical also stated the names of the 23 villages allotted as monastic property. We present in brief the circumstances that surrounded the creation of the encyclical. We also expand upon the location of the above-mentioned 23 villages (Hakvi, Amoj, Odzun, Artvi, Mghard, Ighahat, Karinj, marts, Betark, Kolakiran, Artakan [?], Vardablur, Ktevan, Kurta, Jekrashen, Chiniakarak, Achkohan, Lejan, Koghes, Yeghitank, Darmanatagh, Agheki and Tzater) and their historical and architectural monuments, as well as upon a number of other related issues.
