Abstract
The author draws the attention of the reader to the current issues of the internet and global communication, within the sphere of globalization and the information superhighway. He evaluates the internet and the new, unprecedented horizons it opens in the world of communication. Furthermore, he highlights the huge potential of the virtual realities created by the internet and their interaction with the actual realities. The author asserts that this interaction makes the notions of time and place obsolete, thus leading to the virtual unification of the Armenian Diaspora. He urges the reader and the concerned Armenian authorities to benefit from the wide-ranging options this technological revolution offers and to use these opportunities to promote Armenian culture and community life, Armenian Studies, the quest for Armenian ethnic survival, etc.
