Abstract
The literary periodical Bartsravank was published in Constantinople in 1922. Its editors were Gosdan Zarian, Kegham Kavafian, Vahan Tekeyan, Shahan Berberian and Hagop Oshagan. It sought to continue the traditions set by an earlier literary periodical, Mehyan, published in Constantinople in 1914 but discontinued because of the outbreak of the First World War. Altogether five volumes of Bartaravank were issued in 1922, the year which also witnessed the entry of the Turkish Nationalist forces of Mustafa Kemal into the former Ottoman capital. The article analyses in detail the content of these five volumes and evaluates one by one all contributions published in Bartsravank in the genres of philosophy, the fine arts, literary criticism, poetry, drama and prose literature.
