dc.description.abstract	The seven unpublished letters covering the period between 1908 to 1909 are brought to the attention of the reader. The author of these letters, Dr. Nazareth Daghavarian, a founding member of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, member of the Ottoman Parliament, killed during the Armenian massacres, addressed these letters to Megerditch Antranigian another founding member of the AGBU. These letters shed more light on events that took place right after the Ottoman constitution was reintroduced, the circumstances, the psychology and the mentality prevailing. The letters pertain to issues concerning stages of the history of the AGBU, the inauguration of new branches of AGBU, the relief to be allocated to the Sebastia region, and other issues of national concern.
