dc.description.abstractThe paper focuses on the two novels of contemporary Armenian writer and publicist Hrachya Saribekyan, The Twins' Sun and The Idiots' Journey. The paper examines the themes of these novels, their conceptual construction on notions of life, death, time, resurrection after death, etc. It notes as well that the names of the characters of these literary works are not accidentally chosen. Rather, they hide certain meanings. The writer voices the idea of winning over death and inevitably being resurrected after death through noticeably dark narration. The paper identifies The Idiots' Journey as one of the more in demand literary works of our days, as it narrates the exchange of Armenian and Azeri fools in the aftermath of the first Karabagh war.
