dc.description.abstract	On the occasion of the centennial of Rev. Dickran G. Kherlopian, the author of this article endeavours to give an appraisal of the man, the religious leader, the teacher and professor, the Armenologist and one of the founders of the Haigazian College of Beirut and its Armenological Library. He meticulously examines the course of the life and deeds, the periodicles the Reverend edited and published, the books he authored, and the cultural and Armenological work he carried both at the Haigazian College, schools and churches, and various cities and towns in the Middle East, especially in Syria and Lebanon. Heavily documented, the study is a hommage from a close collaborator and colleague of the Reverend to the memory of the man Rev. Dickran Kherlopian was.
