Item Factors that Influence Online Shopping Intentions of Lebanese Consumers from a Trust and Technology Perspective(2012) Sahaguian, Harout AtamThere are many factors that influence online shopping intentions of Lebanese consumers. The factors were tested from a trust and technology perspective. Perceived familiarity with the E-vendor, perceived trustworthiness and reputation of the E-vendor, perceived privacy and security protection were identified as trust factors that influence positively the intentions to shop online of Lebanese consumers. Perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of the website were identified as technology factors that influence positively the intentions to shop online of Lebanese consumers. An empirical study was conducted in which the contributions of both perspectives were explored and reported. The survey was conducted with 240 Lebanese potential online shoppers. This study provided empirical evidence that the Lebanese consumers' trust in internet shopping is the result of specific factors. The 1st relates to the vendor's familiarity, the second to the vendor's reputation and trustworthiness and the third to the security and privacy provided by the website of the E-vendor. Also, the Lebanese consumers' acceptance of technology factors of online shopping is the result of the Ease of use of the website and its usefulness.Item Women Entrepreneurs in Lebanon: The Effects of their Background, Personality Traits and Resource Acquisition and Management Skills on their Business Growth and the Economy(2012) Malian, Rita PeniaminThe topic of women entrepreneurs is of increasing interest to educators, businesspeople and government officials. Research findings have shown a high positive correlation between the level of national women's entrepreneurial activity and growth in GDP, suggesting that countries that are successful in promoting entrepreneurship among women could experience a positive impact on economic growth rates. Moreover, research shows that the unique background factors, personality traits and resource acquisition and management skills of women entrepreneurs play a major role in the success and growth of their ventures. The aim of the present study was to determine whether or not the background, personality traits and resource acquisition and management abilities of the Lebanese women entrepreneurs affect the growth of their business and contribute to the growth of the economy. For this purpose, 100 women entrepreneurs were selected mainly from Beirut area and surveyed through the administration of a questionnaire (See Appendix A). The analysis of data was made using statistical techniques such as factor analysis, independent samples T-test, one way ANOVA and regression analysis. The results revealed that some background factors had an effect on business and economic growth and some did not. Moreover, personality traits and the ability to acquire and manage resources have significant impact on both business and economic growth.Item The Impact of Emotionally Intelligent Workplace on the Performance of the Organizations(2012) Kandakardjian, SarinThe topic of emotionally intelligent workplace is of increasing interest to all companies in different fields. Research findings have shown the impact of emotional intelligence on organizational performance. Moreover, the findings have shown that the organizations with emotional intelligent competencies perform better and are more successful. The aim of my study was to determine whether the successful organizations have emotional intelligence that results in having loyal customers, growth in either in number of branches, employees, or customers, low turnover rate, and sustaining revenues. For this purpose, 35 successful companies were selected and were surveyed through the administration of a questionnaire. The analysis of the data was made using statistical techniques such as factor, regression, and discriminant analyses. The results revealed that some climate and organizational culture competencies have an effect on having loyal customers, low turnover rate, and sustaining revenues. Moreover, some leadership competencies have an effect on having loyal customers, low turnover rate, and sustaining revenues.Item The Impact of Ethics on the Performance of Organizations in Lebanon(2012) Tutunji, Sana SamirThese last couple of decades ethics have become a vital and intrinsic part of the world’s cultural, political, and business landscape. We see large numbers of people rebelling against their corrupt and unethical governments, and big businesses collapsing and causing tremendous amounts of damage to the economic and social welfare of their communities because of unethically and mismanaged management practices. I will be studying whether ethics in Lebanese companies affect performance and which of the independent variables affect each of the dependent variables. The methodology used to study my research question was through the analysis of the data obtained by administering a questionnaire. The sample of my study was one hundred four employees. The results were analyzed using various statistical techniques such as descriptive analysis, correlation, regression, and one way Anova. Our results indicate that ethics affect performance of companies in Lebanon as perceived by employees. It also affects employee motivation and engagement in work activities but not to the extent that employees change their workplace. We found a significant relationship between all factors.Item Expenditures on Leisure and its Impact on Subjective Well-being(2018) Ghanem, Shadi YoussefItem Factors of Success for a Sample of Lebanese Entrepreneurs(2010) Barbour, Dany CharbelEntrepreneurship in Lebanon is gaining more importance. Its role is becoming crucial in the development of the Lebanese community. Entrepreneurial activity is becoming a vital one to any country in terms of creating jobs, invigorating markets, and generating innovation. Generally to become an entrepreneur, an individual must follow a certain path called "entrepreneurial process." To become a successful entrepreneur, there are certain factors of success an individual should possess. I will be studying whether the successful Lebanese entrepreneurs possess these factors of success that are revealed in literature related to entrepreneurship. The methodology used to study my research question was through the analysis of data obtained by administering a questionnaire that pertained to the major factors of entrepreneurship. The sample of my study was 71 entrepreneurs, all clients of a major international bank in Lebanon. The data was analyzed using statistical techniques such as cross-tabulations, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, correlation & regression. Our results indicate that Lebanese successful entrepreneurs are similar in many ways to successful entrepreneurs described in literature but that they also show so many idiosyncrasies.Item The Determinants of 10 Cryptocurrencies and Their Contribution to Portfolio Design(2021) Assilian, Barkev ByramDuring the last decade, cryptocurrencies and their promise to create a new decentralized financial system drew the attention of investors, companies, traders, speculators and researchers. The purpose of the study is to determine the macroeconomic and crypto-specific factors influencing the price of 10 well-known cryptocurrencies, which were introduced during or before 2017 all-time high of Bitcoin and were the first to present new ideas and applications to Bitcoin. The study tests the correlation between cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin cash, Ethereum classic, Dash coin, Litecoin, Ripple, Monero, Stellar, and NEO), macroeconomic (Vanguard total stock ETF, WTI oil, Gold, COBE volatility index VIX, Dollar index) and cryptocurrency specific factors (Bitcoin dominance, Supply, number of transactions, Adjusted transaction volume, hash rate). To add, Bitcoin is the first and the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. In the second part of the study, the correlation between the other 9 cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin is tested. The final part of the study examines the benefits of constructing an equally weighted index of the 10 cryptocurrencies and using it as a diversifier to 6 traditionally diversified portfolios, which include the following assets (Vanguard total stock market ETF, Vanguard total bond market ETF, Vanguard real state ETF, Gold, OIL, Baltic dry index). Those portfolios target long-term investors who wish to buy and hold, and also generate a steady return with the least amount of risk. The factors that affect the price of the cryptocurrencies and their interaction with Bitcoin were studied and tested through descriptive and GARCH model analysis. The portfolios’ comparison was done using the following methods (Average return, Standard deviation, Sharpe ratio, information ratio, portfolio coefficient of variation, Maximum drawdown). The most significant macroeconomic factor was Vanguard total stock, which is significant to all cryptocurrencies, and gold was significant to 7 cryptocurrencies but not significant to Litecoin, Monero, and Dash. On the other hand, oil is not significant to any of the cryptocurrencies and Dollar index is significant to Ripple only. VIX is only linked to Bitcoin and Ripple. As for cryptocurrency specific factors, they show relatively low correlation for all cryptocurrencies. GARCH model showed significance for 6 cryptocurrencies except Ethereum Cash, Stellar, and Dash. Ethereum and litecoin were the two coins which showed the highest correlation to Bitcoin about 0.21% which is not high correlation. The low percentage correlation with different signs allow for diversification across the cryptocurrency market. All portfolios which included the cryptocurrency index had higher yearly return, and Sharpe ratio and higher information ratio, but had higher volatility compared to the portfolios without the index. However, portfolio coefficient of variation showed very good risk to return ratio; so, it shall be up to the investor to decide the allocation of the cryptocurrencies in the portfolio to get a better return taking into consideration their risk appetite.Item The Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction with Dancing as a Career for Lebanese Dancers(2021) Kandoyan, MherMany dancers opt out of their dancing careers due to some instabilities that come with such a career. In this study, I wanted to shed light on this topic, and provide the necessary guidance for a dancer to be satisfied and successful in his or her career. In order for a dancer to succeed in a dancing career, the career must be recognized for being a protean career, where versatility and flexibility through switching different jobs and assuming different roles is essential. This study aims at figuring out the characteristics and motivations of a dancer and their relationship with the dancer’s job satisfaction. After many unofficial interviews and discussions with professionals and colleagues in the dancing field, I decided to do a scientific study about the topic. This study followed a quantitative approach by sending a questionnaire to Lebanese dancers who pursue a dancing career. The sample obtained consisted of 120 respondents occupying different roles in dancing. The analysis of the data was conducted on SPSS. The study concluded that intrinsic motivations impact job satisfaction in a dancing career, while extrinsic motivations do not. It also showed that having a harmonious passion, the readiness of the dancer to asses and adapt to different situations, and persistence through maintaining support mechanisms and committing to decisions have a positive impact on the overall job satisfaction of a dancer.Item The Factors that Contribute to an Effective Online Educational System in the High Schools of Mount Lebanon and Beirut(2021) Topalian, Sarine SourenThe aim of this study is to explore the current situation in High Schools of Mount Lebanon and Beirut as a result of the closures of schools and institutions across Lebanon followed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Its repercussions have had a great impact on the way education is nowadays practiced. The purpose of this study was to highlight the issues, main points, accomplishments and viewpoints from all of the following stakeholders: school leadership, parents and teachers. An exploratory study was performed through my qualitative interviews with the stakeholders and my quantitative data analysis based on two survey questionnaires distributed among schools in Mount Lebanon and Beirut. The sample included 211 parent and 122 teacher respondents. The results obtained from this study suggest that the factors that contribute to an effective online educational system in high schools of Mount Lebanon and Beirut are most significant when parents have the proper tutoring skills and when they have the ability to balance their household chores. Also important are: when parents provide an appropriate environment, when leadership provides a good planning and effective timetables, and when teachers have appropriate training on resource utilization. I believe that this study will be most significant to the stakeholders involved in this vital issue and to all those who are interested in the educational system in Lebanon. I hope that the stakeholders will look at and reflect into what they have gone through in the 2020 and 2021 academic year and seek to identify their strengths and weaknesses while they pursue to improve their course of work in the educational field. I also hope that this exploratory study will be followed by other researchers in the future.Item Human Resource Practices and Organizational Commitment: Mediating Effects of Employee Resilience in Times of Economic Crisis(2021) Hachem, HaifaaThe following thesis sheds light on the importance of HRPs in generating positive employee outcomes during an economic crisis. In particular, it has explored transformational leadership development which falls under training and development practice. It has discussed how developing transformational leadership in employees leads to positive employee outcomes, which results in building resilient employees who are capable of overcoming difficulties and hardships and as a result form organizational commitment in times of economic crisis. Moreover, it has discussed the three components of organizational commitment (affective, normative, and continuance) in accordance to transformational leadership and employee resilience in times of an economic crisis. The thesis has concluded the existence of positive relationships among transformational leadership, employee resilience, and organizational commitment and its two components affective and normative commitment, but no relationship with its continuance commitment during an economic crisis. In addition, it has determined a mediation effect of employee resilience on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment and its components affective and continuance commitment, but no mediation effect with its normative commitment during an economic crisis.Item The Impact of Authentic Leadership on Employee Job Satisfaction: Study Conducted in a Sample of Lebanese Organizations(2020) Pashayan, Carmen SarkisThe aim of this study is to explore the impact of the four components of Authentic Leadership (Self-Awareness, Balanced Processing, Internalized Moral Perspective and Relational Transparency) on job satisfaction in a sample of Lebanese organizations. Job satisfaction is very essential topic for organizations as it is an important part of employee’s lifecycle and motivation to remain loyal to and employed with an organization. It contributes to raising profits and retaining high performing employees. Job satisfaction aspects studied are: feeling excited to come to work, feeling secure to provide suggestions and innovative ideas, feeling empowered to make own decision and feeling more self-aware. The survey questionnaire which was used as a tool is composed of 29 questions measuring two factors: employee perception of whether their leaders are authentic leaders and employee level of job satisfaction. The sample consists of 235 employees from both For-Profit and Not-For-Profit organizations. The hypotheses examined the impact of the four components of Authentic Leadership on job satisfaction factors and on job satisfaction overall. These hypotheses were tested using Regression analysis, Factor analysis, Independent T-test and one-way ANOVA and the results attained were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. The results of the survey indicated that employees who assume that their leaders are role-models of knowing their strengths and weaknesses, understanding their purpose of leadership and feeling comfortable to express their feelings, will be most likely satisfied and excited to come to work. Moreover, in the survey conducted, these employees demonstrated that when leaders listen closely to them, ask feedback and analyze data objectively before making decisions, they will have higher overall job satisfaction. Furthermore, the study exposed that as leaders show consistency between their actions and beliefs, allow other people to know where they stand on controversial issues, treat all the employees fairly, admit their mistakes, encourage open and honest debate at all times and share organization information, they will be perceived as credible and trustworthy and this will have a significantly positive impact on employee job satisfaction; therefore the results of this study in general emphasized that a significant association existed between authentic leadership and employee overall job satisfaction. Based on this study, it is recommended to have human resource professionals who could use authentic leadership in employee recruitment as well as design employee training around authentic traits which may reduce job-related stress, absenteeism, and job turnover. The study additionally revealed that employees working in Not-For-Profit organizations are more satisfied than employees working in For-Profit organizations. Thus, this study should also give clarity to the leaders of For-Profit organizations in Lebanon to focus more on developing or training their leaders to possess authentic leadership traits, considering the importance of authentic leadership practices on employee overall job satisfaction.Item The Impact of Talent Management Practices on Workforce Satisfaction of Non-governmental Organizations: A Study Conducted in a Sample of Non-governmental Organizations in Lebanon(2019) Charbetji, Chukri JamilThe purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of talent management practices of the non-governmental organizations in Lebanon on their workforce satisfaction. This impact has been shown in our research literature. Talent management practices are summarized here as talent identification, succession planning, talent development, and talent retention. And workforce satisfaction is conceptualized as satisfaction with job tasks/responsibilities and satisfaction with taking part in achieving organizational goals. The workforce of the non-governmental organization is its employees and volunteers. An empirical study was performed through a survey research. The data was collected through a questionnaire sent to the human resource departments of the non-governmental organizations who applied talent management practices and operated in Lebanon. More than 250 employees and volunteers filled the questionnaire from the different non-governmental organization categories. The questionnaire was developed based on extensive literature review. The results of the study indicated that the workforce of the non-governmental organizations in Lebanon are not primarily satisfied with their job tasks/responsibilities as they are satisfied from being part of achieving the organizational goals.Item The Impact of Emotional Intelligence on the Relationship between Financial Literacy and Financial Behavior: The Case of the Lebanese Banking Consumers(2019) DerMesrobian, Robert MesrobThe global financial crisis of 2007 led researchers to study the underlying reasons behind people’s loan/credit disrespecting behaviors which caused tremendous setbacks to major economies. After a handful amount of academic research, banks and other financial institutions admitted their unethical behaviors towards their clients. Being knowledgeable about people’s lack of knowledge in financial principles, they had provided them with novel and tricky financial services which an ordinary client couldn’t comprehend. Since then, many governments such as USA, Canada, Australia and Switzerland started educating their citizens the financial principles which might be of their need to avoid the reoccurrence of a similar global financial crises. Nonetheless, throughout the several years of research in this field, scholars didn’t find a holistic model in which all the variables influencing people’s financial behavior are present. That is why this topic remains worth studying about further. Recently, calls for the need of behavioral finance approach rose in the academic world. Therefore, this study checks the impact of emotional intelligence on the relationship between financial literacy and financial behavior focused on the Lebanese banking consumers. By the literature collected about the three mentioned variables – emotional intelligence, financial literacy, financial behavior – five hypotheses are proposed. Based on these hypotheses, the research model is drawn following Hayes (2013)’s Process Models in which emotional intelligence mediates the relation of financial literacy and financial behavior. Nonetheless, as per the research’s literature, one type of a financial behavior, savings & investment behavior, is treated as a dependent variable. In order to collect the necessary data to test the posed hypotheses, a questionnaire is designed and conducted following the convenient sampling method and using SurveyMonkey online survey platform in December 2018 on Lebanese banking consumers owning either a debit or a credit card. To analyze a total of 187 valid responses, quantitative techniques are used through IBM Spss and its macro, Process Model 1 and Model 74. The results failed to show a significant relation between the dependent variable, financial behavior, and the two independent variables, financial literacy and emotional intelligence. However, significant results exist in the further exploration of the data by moderated mediation in which emotional intelligence moderates the mediation between financial literacy and a type of financial behavior: savings & investments behavior. Some interesting significant results are also attained using the respondents socio-demographics information such as the lack of any significant relation of people’s years of professional experience with the research’s three variables. This research enriches the literature and gives practical insights to policymakers. Being the first of its kind in terms of relating emotional intelligence to financial literacy and financial behavior, it gives itself a unique sense and importance in the field of financial behavioral studies. It also recommends further research on financial behaviors to be focused on savings and investments behaviors. A practical value-added of this research is the recommendation to the concerned policymakers in enhancing both the emotional intelligence and the financial literacy in order to have citizens making good financial decisions.Item The Impact of Working Conditions and Personality Traits on the Job Satisfaction of Employees in a Sample of a Regional Retail Company in the Middle East Region(2019) Hilal, MargarittaThe aim of the study is to explore the impact of 7 components of working conditions (leadership, work-life balance, work environment, reward and recognition, development and career growth, communication, teamwork) and the Big Five Personality traits (i.e. neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, conscientiousness) on job satisfaction. Job Satisfaction is considered an important topic for organizations as it contributes to raising profits and retaining high performing employees. Job satisfaction aspects studied are: being excited to come to work, being satisfied with day-to-day responsibilities, being dedicated to one’s job, seeing one’s organization as a great place to work, seeking other job opportunities. Job satisfaction is particularly important for the company that I work in, which is a retail franchisee that operates in the Middle East Region. For the past seven years, it has conducted 4 surveys to understand employees’ level of satisfaction and has developed action plans to ensure implementation of goals leading to better productivity and motivation. The satisfaction surveys had fluctuating results throughout the years, and the management was asking three questions: Why were there still dissatisfied employees? Could it be that employees’ personality influences their overall satisfaction? Do working conditions affect satisfaction the most? I was inspired by the experience that my company underwent and was willing to conduct this study to help the management understand more what was impacting job satisfaction the most. Job satisfaction and the factors that impact it are one of the most examined subjects in organization behavior. Literature reveals the impact of working conditions on job satisfaction and the relationships of employee personality traits with their job satisfaction have been studied from different angles, in different studies. However, the studies that were done did not explore the impact of employee working conditions factors and Big Five personality factors on employee job satisfaction in the same study. This study aims to do that. The survey questionnaire which was used as a tool was composed of 35 questions measuring three factors: assessment of employee personality traits, employee evaluation of working conditions, and employee level of job satisfaction. The sample consisted of 407 employees randomly selected from the seven biggest countries the examined company operates in: Jordan, Egypt, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE. The hypotheses examined the impact of different aspects of working conditions and the impact of different personality traits on job satisfaction factors and job satisfaction overall. Those hypotheses were tested on different job satisfaction aspects and job satisfaction overall using Regression analysis, Factor analysis, and Independent T-Test and the answers were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the survey showed that employees who assessed themselves high on such personality traits as being original, having an active imagination, being considerate, and valuing art will be most likely more satisfied with their job. Moreover, they demonstrated that supporting employee’s career development, creating an environment of teamwork, providing fairly distributed financial packages, offering open communication within the organization, clear directions from managers, job stability and safe & physically comfortable working environment have a significantly positive impact on employee satisfaction. The findings of this study therefore, should provide knowledge to the HR Recruitment and Performance Management officers about the Big Five Personality test and its use as a tool in pre-assessing applicants and understanding the type of applicants who would be suitable for the organization. The study should as well give clarity to the management on what to focus in terms of working conditions to ensure employee satisfaction.Item Relation Between Internal Dynamics of Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction in the Lebanese Banking Sector(2019) Safieddine, Hassan NasserItem The Impact of Student Experiences with Diversity in Lebanese Universities on Developing Workplace Performance Attributes(2018) Sahagian, Sanan BerjOn the campus of universities, the student populations present a great cultural, linguistic and socio-economic diversity. This diversity creates heterogeneity of needs and learning habits. One of the main objectives of a post-secondary education system is to prepare graduates for the job market. Therefore, greater emphasis must be placed on developing graduate attributes. University students’ experience with diversity has been found to have a positive effect on developing graduate attributes. A review of related literature on the impact of students’ experiences with diversity on developing graduate attributes reveals that there are three main categories of variables that nurture diversity and have an impact on developing these graduate attributes. These categories of variables are the following: • The welcoming environment of the university which includes the following cultural and structural characteristics of the university: trust and respect for all individuals, non-discriminatory policies/practices, campus structure-facilities encouraging interactions. • Diversity related activities/practices by the university which include: students exchange programs, cultural diversity awareness workshops/seminars, heterogeneous peer group projects, classroom discussions led by instructors that expose students to different types of knowledge and different perspectives. • Informal interactional diversity .i.e. the student’s relation and informal interaction with diverse peers. And the resulting attributes have been identified to be enhanced workplace performance attributes such as: self-confidence, communication skills, critical thinking, acceptance of others and overall workplace performance. In this study we wanted to see if the findings of the research literature hold true in the case of Lebanese universities. Therefore a survey research was conducted in seven Lebanese universities chosen based on the following criteria: their mission / vision statements as well as policy statements that address diversity, their non-Lebanese students’ percentage of the university’s student population, and their university’s student population percentage of the total Lebanese students. A survey research questionnaire was conducted to collect data on students’ experiences with the different aspects of diversity (described in the literature review). 284 students responded to the questionnaire which allowed us to analyze data collected with statistical techniques. The result of the study indicated that the student’s experiences with diversity in the Lebanese universities are in general positively related to developing workplace performance attributes except for some of the diversity related practices which did not have the expected impact. It also indicated that the Lebanese University is perceived by the students to be less encouraging diversity and interaction. The research also showed that the more students interact with their diverse peers the better their workplace skills are developed.Item The Indirect Factors that Influence the Prescribing Intention of Physicians in Lebanon(2017) Aynedjian, Sarine HagopPurpose: Physician-Industry relationship has so long existed. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the peripheral route (promotional offerings) to persuasion used by pharmaceutical companies has more influence on physician's prescribing intention than the central route (scientific offerings) to persuasion. Design/Methodology: I used the Elaboration Likelihood Model of the persuasion theory to construct a theoretical model to explain the relationship between the indirect factors employed by pharmaceutical companies and prescribing intention of physicians. To empirically test the model, I collected survey data from 100 physicians in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Data were analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS model. Findings: All physicians had contact with pharmaceutical sales representatives (PSRs). 45% of physicians received visits from PSRs daily. The assessment of PSRs by the Lebanese doctors was not significantly associated with their prescribing intention. The medical article was an important source of information that affected the prescribing intention of physicians. All physicians received at least one small gift and the majority of physicians (92%) received at least one valuable gift from pharmaceutical companies. Receiving drug samples and attending sponsored continuing medical education events were positively associated with prescribing intention. Physicians' prescribing intention was also influenced by key opinion leaders. Findings supported the moderating role of physician's years of experience on the link between key opinion leaders and prescribing intention of physicians. Implications: The results of this research indicate that relationships between physicians and pharmaceutical industry are common in Lebanon. Moreover, the gift extent of physician-industry interactions appeared to affect prescribing intentions of physicians. Further research needs to be done to determine whether the medical article is part of the peripheral route, using larger sample size. Practical Implications: This research offers insights to pharmaceutical firms on where to focus their marketing efforts to influence the prescribing intention of physicians. I found that the peripheral route to persuasion has a significant effect on physicians' prescribing intention.Item The Effect of Service Quality and Ticket Pricing on Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention within the Lebanese Basketball League(2017) Baghboudarian, Jean VaskenThis study aims to assess service quality and the game components in the Lebanese Basketball context and to examine the effects of service quality and ticket pricing on the satisfaction of the fans and their behavioral intention, which is whether to attend future games and to recommend the games to other or not. Quantitative research was used to undertake this study in the form of online survey posted on the official pages of the 10 Lebanese division 1 basketball teams, the results of which were used as statistical evidence to reach the relevant conclusions through theoretical and numerical analysis which support the methodology approach. The 401 responses gathered from the survey were coded into the statistical software SPSS 23 to obtain results that were later used to generate the relevant data that were analyzed to make decisions regarding the main problem of the study, and possible conclusions and perspectives that could be derived from these decisions. Several interesting results were obtained and observations were made about where the basketball industry is headed in the future. Ticket pricing, satisfaction with the services and the game components had significant effects on the fan's behavioral intention. Similarly, all the components of the game and the service environment, except the facility design, had significant effects on the fan's satisfaction. Game satisfaction played a mediating role between the components of the game characteristics and the behavioral intention, and between the service environment and the behavioral intention.
