Եոհան Բլարամբերգի վկայութիւնները հայ ժողովուրդի մասին (1836-1841)

Abstract
The Russian lieutenant general Johann Von Blaramberg (Ivan Fedorovich Blaramberg, 1800-1878), a German of Dutch origin, traveled to southern Russia, Persia and Central Asia between 1836 and 1840 as well as between 1841 and 1855. His travels took him to parts of Eastern Armenia, which were then part of the Russian Empire. During his travels Blaremberg encountered Armenians in various cities of Russia (Orenburg, Astrakhan, Mozdok, etc.) and Persia (Julfa). In his memoires, Blaremberg expresses his views on the beauty of Armenian women and children, the miraculous view on the beauty of Armenian women and children, the miraculous view of Mount Ararat, and notes that a number of foreign officers had married Armenian women in Persia. Like many Christian travelers, Blaramberg slept in Armenian homes, feeling more secure there than elsewhere. The paper is a translation of all the passages of Blaremberg's memoires which touch upon Armenians as well as Armenian-related issues.
