Abstract
The heroic battles the Armenians fought against the Turkish army invading Eastern Armenia in May 1918 are someof the brightest pages in the history of the Armenian nation. Numerous materials dedicated to these battles are preserved in the National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and History of the Liberation Struggle.
The paper gives a panoramic picture of the collection, summarizing the items preserved in the various sections gathered under the titles «Photos», «Documents», «Precious metals», «History of the heroic battle», «Ethnography and mode of life 1, 2, 3», «Textiles», «Glass», and «Fine arts». Lastly, the author assesses their historical value and notes some of the missing items which could shed further light to these battles which were detrimental for the Armenian nation.
The author notes that the museum staff have been instrumental in collecting data and items from these battles and that a lot of personal belongings have been recovered from the sons, brothers and grandchildren of those who participated in these battles.
