Խնդիր եւ խնդրառութիւն

Abstract
Unlike some Indo-European languages like Italian, French, Spanish and English, the Armenian language shifted from Grabar to contemporary Armenian without eliminating Grabar's declination system, which is still maintained almost intact. This is why Armenian syntax pays due attention to rection, that is, the linking of verbs to declinable/inflective words. The diverse and correct word-versus-verb linkage mode is not always easy and creates confusion irrespective of the speaker's age and knowledge of language rules and regulation. Ultimately it makes learning Armenian not a relatively easy task Having said that, rection provides free word order usage in the formation of the sentence, which non-inflectional languages lack. Indeed, in the Armenian language the case rather than the location of the word decides its function. This freedom, however, puts a lot of responsibility on the Armenian speaker to choose the best reaction from among the numerous word order options available. In other words, in this regard, Armenian gives its users ample creative opportunities, which are full of surprises. This paper, the first of its kind, studies a certain aspect of both verbal reaction and prepositional rection as they are of particular importance. It is expected that this unprecedented study will open up broader studies and satisfy wider needs.
