Հայոց ազգագրութեան թանգարանի քարտէզների հաւաքածուն

Abstract
The article provides a brief overview of the maps donated by Hagop Djelalian and preserved in the Armenian Ethnographic Museum located in Sardarapat, Republic of Armenia. The paper sheds light on 27 maps which are directly or indirectly related to Armenia and its history. These maps were published in Europe (France, Britain, the Netherlands) between the 17th and 19th centuries. The author categorizes these maps into four groups, namely those pertaining to a) Armenia Major (Mets Hayk) and its contiguous areas, b) Asia Minor and its contiguous areas, c) the military wars (particularly the Russo-Persian) and Russo-Ottoman wars) and political developments of the 19th century, and d) biblical maps. The author comments on the peculiarities of each map in terms of the borders of Armenia, the locations of mountains and the courses of its rivers.
