Abstract
The article is the first-hand account of Shushanik Tigranyan, a native of Erzurum and the daughter of a renowned family of the city. Tigranyan was among the first caravan of Armenians deported from Erzurum.
Tigranyan survived the uprooting and exile and put into writing her horrible memories of the killings, massacres, lootings and kidnappings she witnessed during the tribulations of her caravan.
It should be noted that this testimony is among the relatively very few eye witness accounts that highlight the deportation of the indigenous Armenians of the city of Erzurum and their tragic exodus.
