| dc.description.abstract | The paper examines and details the notorious September 1937 session of the Communist Party of Armenia, which occupies a unique place in the history of Soviet Armenia and the Armenian nation due to the violent decisions it took which initiated the Stalinist purges in Armenia and led to tragic consequences. The author focuses on the factors that led to the session, the arguments made and the explanations given to implement the policy, which ultimately led to the killing and disappearance of thousands of Soviet Armenian intellectuals and ordinary people. | |
