| dc.description.abstract | One of the renowned figures of Armenian literature, Kostanm Zaryan (1885-1969) wrote several books and a single book of poetry, Oreri Bsage (The Crown of Days). The book was published in 1922 and stood out for its unique language structures and portrayals of acts and descriptions through unorthodox combinations of incongruous or incompatible words. At a later stage Zaryan republished the volume after thoroughly rewriting most of the poems, which still maintain an aesthetic and perceptual value The The article analyses the language and style of Zaryan's poetry, focusing on the epithets, comparisons, repetitions and contrapositions which he used abundantly. author argues that the use of these stylistic techniques enriched the poems with extraordinary expressions, charged them with emotions, and displayed the deep sensitivity of the author. | |
